EASY WAFFLE RECIPE


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled
  • two tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • Walnut syrup and butter, as preferred, for serving

Directions

Preheat waffle iron based on manufacturer's instructions. Inside a large bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt put aside.
In a tiny bowl, whisk milk and eggs pour over flour mixture, and whisk lightly to mix (don't overmix). Lightly whisk in butter.
Following manufacturer's instructions, prepare waffles until deep brown and crisp. (For the standard waffle iron, pour an ample 1/2 cup of batter into center, distributing to within 1/2 inch of edges, and shut waffle will prepare in two to three minutes.) Serve warm, with walnut syrup and butter, as preferred.
